World Mental Health Day

Today is World Mental Health Day.
I have struggled with anxiety for most of my adult life. I suffer from severe chronic pain, and it is quite common for pain to go hand in hand with anxiety and depression. That doesn’t make me weak. That makes me human.
– 1 in 5 people will experience mental health issues at some point in their lifetime.
– Mental health conditions can range from relatively common disorders such as depression and anxiety to the more rare bipolar disorder and schizophrenia.
– People who suffer from chronic pain have over a 60% higher risk of suicide than their counterparts
This is something very important to me. I don’t believe the statistics paint a full picture, as many people suffer in silence and never seek help.
Please don’t be one of those people. Reach out. Seek help.
You matter.
Your life matters.
Your life matters to me.
The more we speak openly, the faster we can end the stigma. Share this post, share your story, or just share your time with someone who may need a friend.
We are in this together. Xoxoxo
